may you can't turn it of, cause it's turned off?

Maybe try to activate it, and then it should be possible to disable it.

It does not appear to be enabled at present.  Perhaps a better question to ask is, what are you wanting to accomplish by disabling network discovery?

I will ask if you are wanting to make your computer "invisible" to others on your network - if so, yes that is easy to do with CIS, as follows:

1.  Open CIS interface
2.  Go to Firewall tab
3.  Click on Stealth Ports Wizard link
4.  Select Block all incoming connections, stealth my ports to everyone
5.  Follow the prompts (ie, click Next, etc) to complete the wizard

Hope that helps,

LM

No problem.  I'll go ahead and lock the topic, marking as resolved.

If you need to reopen it, please PM an online Moderator and make the request.
