1) "platform
i think x64" is not the answer
How could you not be certain when the installers are different for the respective platforms

Below is one of the methods you can use in order to get that info
Keep in mind that the "Help and Support" Service should be Enabled (at least temporarily)
- Start > Run
- Type msinfo32.exe > press Enter
In “System Information”, review the value for the System Type item:
- For 32-bit editions of Windows, the value of the System Type item is x86-based PC.
- For 64-bit editions of Windows, the value of the System Type item is x64-based PC.
2) I can understand that you chose different Antivirus...
..but is there particular reason you are still using the older version of the Firewall (v3.8 ) when the current version is 3.12.111745.560
3) most importantly, are you saying that the problem with "Error 108" is gone now or that is still an issue?
