Hi",)

POWER ON your PC and press F8 simultaneously. choice RESTORE LAST SETTINGS THAT WORK to restore your PC if... pressing F8 is applicable on your PC.

thanks for getting back to me, lewis

ive tried all the f8 and f2 combos

the problem lies i think in the defense/firewall settings with comodo
my fear is that ive set 'ask me' for whatever controls the keyboard
so when i get to the windows log on, the keypad wont work
until comodo runs and asks me if its ok

somehow i have to get in and disable the settings

any ideas???

Did you already Boot at windows normally now? If Not, Boot in SAFE MODE and restore your PC

when you are in safe mode and in the log in screen, use on screen keyboard function. U can find it in the accessibility settings icon Wink

To enable on screen keyboard, try pressing the Windows and u buttons together at the logon screen. Hope this helps.

ok
then it must be something else, not comodo

funny thing is
in bios setup the keypad works
then when windows launches the log in screen
the mouse works but not the keyboard/pad

does anyone know how to reinstall w/out losing data

thanks again for all replies
