Uninstalling Comodo Internet Security, Problems

CIS 3.8 started consuming 100% of cpu usage. Impossible to uninstall. Tried winXP Uninstall, Win Install Clean Up, DOS cfgconfg.exe -u, to no avail. No viruses (ok virii) or rootkits.
Deleted the Comodo directory content, all Comodo references with regedit, CCleaner, XtraTools, deleted all references in Documents and Settings, but no cigar either.
The CIS 3.8 (and also 3.10) install keeps telling me that an instance is already installed.
