It has not been updated yet. Jacob has been very busy with his job and has not had the time for the Comodo Forums since March 10.

I am naturally disappointed that the update has not yet happened,
but more than happy that Jacob has a job,
and this is especially important at the present time.

I am sure we all wish Jacob well.

Regards

Hello All,
Once again I'll release an updated version tonight with suggested fixes and comments
To me this means the update has already been made and just needs to be uploaded. The statement of being too busy made my another person makes no sense to me. Anyway - we just (have to) let it be...

Jacob is a volunteer moderator. Just like the rest of us he devotes whatever time he can to the forum. He does not work for Comodo. Therefore what surprises me the most is that he could even take the time to make this wonderful uninstaller in the first place.

That said, hopefully there is a new version put up soon, but I certainly wouldn't blame Jacob if there's not.

I see of course and the uninstaller did a great job already for me. Thanks a lot.  Thumb Up  Grin It's just (and I think I decsribed clearly already) the way Jacob first announced and then disappeared for months without any further comment. Nothing more nothing less. Wink

But of course the most questionable thing is that COMODO itself hasn't been able to create a proper Uninstall Tool (such as some other firms) for using in case of troubles with the standard uninstall routine, especially if there are known issus with it.   Roll Eyes

Can Comodo make an official Clean-Up Tool for all their software?

REAL companies have their own on the download pages, and it's only fair if Comodo does too. Thanks.

By real I mean to get your attentions.  Angel

By "REAL companies" perhaps you REALLY mean companies that charge an annual license fee.  Roll Eyes

If you say so...
There are paid versions of their free software, mainly for HELP and SUPPORT ...same as REAL companies.

Btw, I'm Comodo's Hero Smiley and so are you! h5

This effort by Jacob is a GREAT wholehearted share for us users of Comodo. There are also "companies" that do not have uninstall tools for their product like TuneUp Utilities which is nasty even Revo cannot uninstall it effectively.

I'm currently running version 5.10.228257.2253 on my laptop which I now want to uninstall. Does Jacob's app work on this version?

Hi Konfoozed,
I have used it with that version with no problems.
Please run the built in uninstaller first, which I have also found to do a good job with that CIS version.

Just uninstalled CIS through Add/Remove, tried to run Jacob's app but nothing happens after the "black screen" where I've typed "I acknowledge" etc. Just goes back to choice of desired removals. So, did a search, also ran Revo and CCleaner but couldn't find anything related to Comodo.
Please advise, am I clear of Comodo or have I missed something? Thanks.

You should be fairly right/Clean IMO, V5.10s uninstaller did work relatively well.
Sorry about the Uninstaller tool failing, last time I used it not that long back it worked well.
You could try the Uninstaller tool in Windows safe mode, if it will run it just might clean out any remains.
