I am not a computer security expert, but I have been using a computer ever since the IBM PC first came out in the early to mid 1980s (wasn't it?), during my university years, in Physics.  I just wanted to say a big "Thank you," to the people at Comodo, for making their firewall available for all to use, and for making a product that seems to me to be a very good one.  I first started using the XP version, last Spring, on my desktop and just recently downloaded and installed the Vista version, on my other computer.  It was recommended on a website that I believe to be quite good in assessing the freeware that's out there on the internet.  Here's the link:

In any case, THANK YOU COMODO for displaying the original spirit of the internet, which was a sharing one, and a caring one, and for making such a fine product.  (Like I said, I'm not an expert, but I can read, and so far, I've read only good things about the Comodo Firewall.)

Hi all,

I have been a big fan of Comodo Firewall since it's debut. I was looking for someone to fill the position of Zone Alarm and can honestly say I found a company/ I have the 2.4 version installed now and would like to try the 3.0 pro, however, I have service pack 1 XP on my machine. ( I had sp2 installed and had nothing but issues. Is there some way to make a version with SP1?

Comodo Loads fast, is stable and very powerful, allowing the user real peace of mind.

Hi, my first post here.

I came across the Comodo Firewall a few days ago while i was searching to replace my old sygate firewall. I was personally testing various firewalls to see what suits me. I have found everything i need in Comodo Firewall!


Very easy to use interface with all "advanced" features i want to use and light for the system, unlike other firewalls i tested(mostly paid ones...) that consume a lot of resources and slow down your system.

I also can't believe such a firewall is freeware and i am currently exploring all its options to see what other goodies are there. Really great software and free? yes please

I am still learning to use it, i i am experienced in networking and i am pleased to see a plethora of options available.

I am also considering to test Comodo Antivirus, and who knows, maybe it will replace my current one. Will test soon...

   I stumbled upon Comodo while looking for online answers to problems with another security suite.  What?  Free firewall, antivirus, and many other free products?  Come on! There had to be a catch, a gimmick.  Then I read Melih's philosophy on why he wanted to make great free products for the world.  He wants to make money selling security certificates to internet companies.  To make his company more profitable he wants to clean up the internet.  That honesty sold me.  I have three computers, one of which travels with me all over--many different motels with different networks.  I tried the firewall.  I liked it.  Finally I was able to clean up my computers, and they stay that way.  I am also using BOCleaner and Verification Engine.  The V Engine is an amazing utility.  Finally, a way to see (with your own eyes) if an internet site is legit and secure (and who's naughty or nice).  I would recommend Comodo products to anyone, and in fact I do.

I have had Comodo Personal Firewall 3.0 for about a week now and it works great. I am very satisfied so far with the protection it provides and the many features it offers. I have KAV 7.0 and so far it works fine with Comodo. I am using Vista 32bit. Thank you Comodo. I hope the Comodo AV for Vista comes out soon.

Ive been through a number of firewalls and anti viruses and about 20 mins ago i had about 3 spamming up my tray bar dont absolutly nothing but spaming out requests for me to register them or inability to connect to update server...

i uninstalled em all and looked for a recomended firewall on some boards under the free essential software packages for windows were... my god comodo is the first thing im going to put on any computer i set up... its fast efficient and so god dam powerfull... what it does is so amazing i think im in bloody love... this has got to be THE best protection piece of software ive gotten so far... from the first 20 mins the things it has been able to do have just outright impressed me.... and this rarely happens(if ever) and even to such an extent that i go sign up and look where to give it a 5/5 review without no request to do so whatsoever from the program...

I have had several paid for firewall,all where too comlicated for the average user or didn't do what was expected. Comodo has ease of use,(it does all the work) and the best part is it realy does work.
I have run it through ever test on the net and it passed them all.

By far the best firewall software available with by far the best pricetag.  Useable by the most unskilled computer user to configurable by the uber geek.  I have even recommended that my company participate in the Enterprise central management testing.  I've even used this software to get rid of some annoying malware that nother programs failed to remove.  By blocking the malwares ability to load and replicate it was easily removed.
