Hi I'm fairly new to the forums. I have been using the firewall for about 12 months now and love it. Recently installed Boclean as well, also looking forward to having a play with the anti-virus once a stable version becomes available. I think its great what you guys are doing at Comodo and makes a lot of sense spending money making the net safer than lots of marketing.
I am a web developer and currently run 2 business websites as well as my own. As an experienced IT user I am always being asked for advice about security and I now point them to one company - Comodo. I also have your graphic on my forum.
I look forward to CFP3 and later versions of CAVS and Boclean.
Thanks guys,

In the sort time I've used CFP, I've found it has pretty much every feature I need. Here's to hoping the bugs get worked out of the beta quickly.
And here's something about CFP:

I am telling you this as I LOVE your products. I am an A+ certified Tech who uses the internet on a more than regular basis. I have tested dozens of antivirus and firewall solutions and I am nothing but TOTALLY impressed with the effectiveness, ease of use, security, and responsiveness of ALL your products. I stumbled upon Comodo while looking for personal digital ID's and was exstatic about the fact your's were free for personal use. Then while having issues with Zone Alarms VSMON and how it was handling connections and crashing, I was suggested to try Comodo. So, I installed all of your Apps. WOW!!! that is my response. BIG WOW!!! You have done a tremendous job here, and to offer it all free to us home users will only help in your long term goals I am positive.
The Firewall is nothing but amazing in its simplicity and effectiveness. And although simplistic is its foundation the options and complexity of it are astounding. You have pulled the best programmers right to your door on this one it seems. Not only have I already, after days of use, told ALL my friends about you, but I will stop at nothing short of Spamming, which I will not do only because I hate Spam. Thank You so much for your hard work, this is one Beta testing, A+ certified Tech who is thrilled to have found your wonderfully hard working team of engineers and programmers. You get every bit of my respect and thanks on everything you are doing.....Please keep up the great work.
Oh and PS, although this is mainly pointing to your firewall with praise it definately stands for the Anti-Virus, Boclean and Verification engine too....Not too mention the free digital ID....Thanks for protecting us little people.

For me my best idea would be a banner i could place in posts in my friendster account. In my country we IT students are dying to have a decent antivirus that's free of charge. Plus i could give my school's email if you want. Why? Would you believe that they do not have an antivirus installed. An IT school with no antivirus, could you imagine that?

welcome to the forums, savior...
If you go to the main page of the forums, and type "banner" in the search field, you will get a number of pertinent results wherein you can find banners to use.

I'm starting up a software blog of various rants. So far I've made only one post in there, about CFP3. It's basically an enhanced version of my review here. I have the screenshots ready but some folder access issues. Once that'll be done they will accompany my review.
http://appmaniac.com/comodo-firewall-pro-30-a-powerusers-dream-come-true.html#more-3
The site is still in the works.
EDIT: screenshots added

Very well-written, Searinox. Very light on emotion, just a factual approach to documenting your experience. I like that. I also tend to agree with the quick release; I think personally it's better to go a little longer and make sure everything is actually ironed out before going "gold."
However, that's just my opinion, which does not necessarily reflect the views or opinion of Comodo...
(obviously, since it was released without my "blessing")

Nice write up Searinox.
Its a fair description of what it is!
Now you can help us overcome all those Cons, by helping us improve v3
thank you!
Melih
PS: Why don't you use CMG so that you get 100%-100%-100% on that pc test
PS: You do get the power of v3, can you and others help us by identifying all the registry keys etc we need to get the v3 to operate in a sandbox mode for the browsers pls.. Then we can share this ruleset with other users and at some stage put it in v3 as one of the default configs so that you will now have a Sandboxing for your browser
thanks

It does something nasty to the .NET framework, as I've already reported in the appropriate forum. Trust me, I check for new beta builds daily.
I agree Melih, the rules need some fine-tuning. Browsers can be locked to what registry keys and folders they may have access to. However, they will have to "adapt" to where a browser is installed. For example, some people might install their Firefox in c:\Program Files\Firefox not C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox, and the firewall needs to know that. Sandboxing is one of the things I love about CFP3. Rest assured my blog WILL speak about this firewall again.
