I constantly get windows application error 1709. Can't run scanner. The tune up doesn't work. All I get is remove and download again. I have done that several times. Now my computer is locked up.

You stand a much, much greater chance of getting a solution if you put all your posts about the one problem in the one topic, particularly when they are such disparately named topics as;
