Its also very important, if we could kindly ask you to share with us if this version has fixed the issues you had. This would help us immensely.

I have used the beta fix v3.014.273 for a couple of days and it seems to have fixed my problem with Firefox. However, today Comodo repeatedly blocked my Windows update. Adding it to the safe list did not solve the problem. The update finally worked when I temporarily shut off Defender+.
Otherwise, everything seems to be working.

P.S. I use Windows XP, Avira AntiVir, Spybot, and Ad-Aware

Ok so I installed the Beta Comodo Firewall Pro and so far so good as far as Firefox goes...but it may take awhile for it to start acting up like it did before...if it still isn't fixed that is.....otherwise it will probably be just fine.....I did the Firewall and defense + in training mode for about 10 minutes first though to get it acquainted....then switched the firewall and defense + to the next highest protection levels....I also added firefox to the trusted apps list after I installed and rebooted, so maybe that is the problem.

Since I haven't had any problems connecting to my router and haven't got any new private network notices, I withdrew my vote.

I tried again and still can't pass the leak test, but BOClean stops it cold as I first click on the leaktest icon to test.  I elect not to remove the file and fail the test.

User error?     Thinking

Otherwise, two thumbs up!

I'm sorry to post this issue again, but aren't there others with the same problem?

For some reason CPF3 triggers the execution of an MSI installer whenever I use office applications. The installer corresponds to a non related application. Uninstalling CPF3 solves the issue. Using CPF2.4 also makes this issue disappear.

The system is running on a fresh installation (OS and software)

- tried marking office apps as trusted with no result

- tried disabling HIPS with no success

Any suggestion are welcome.

I am using the 268 version at present...

As per suggestion by another member I put CFPv3 in the BOClean excluder and tagged it as a trusted application and so far I have not had the CFP alerts for BOClean that I was getting every few hours.

However I thought I'd try the D+ again which I had to disable due to D+ BOClean Alerts every 3 seconds. The remembering problem seems to still be there.

D+ did it's normal learning mode of my start-up programs and then finished as usual.
However as soon as I launched an application (Wordpad) it refused to remember the 'Trusted' setting and continued to post (Wordpad) alert boxes.

Have turned off D+ again and every other aspect of CFPv3 (268) works great.

I have the 273 version downloaded but not yet installed.
Could someone tell me if this beta version solves the remembering problem and when it will be officially released as an update?

Thanks,

Mike.

the remembering issue seems to be solved with this beta. My issue was AVG AV being learned again at each boot by Def+. Doesn't happen anylonger.
as for the release date of the next official update, I've read in this thread that it should be anytime this week.

Thanks Leopard; I will wait for the official update; it may well have a few other mods by then.  Smiley

I have no issues with D+ (v .273) and BOClean.  Using Works 2001 with no issues there either.

don't know if anyone found this bug before me, anyway: I tried today for the first time to check the setting found in Def+ settings: "block all the unknown requests if the application is closed" cool feature!  Clapping Hug.
Next time I rebooted after that my computer froze while logging in. Went into safe mode, deactivated the setting, rebooted, and everything, was OK again. Thinking

ps. I didn't think at once it could be that. First deactivated CFP completely in safe mode and could reboot normally. Then deactivated just Def+ and I could boot. Then reactivated it and removed some custom rules, and I couldn't reboot again. Then removed all Def+ rules, couldn't boot normally either. Finally remembered that I had modified the "block all the unknown requests...", unchecked it and everything was back to normal. I love that MS safe mode Cheers.
