Yes, I want it too. My problem is with ICS, as described at https://forums.comodo.com/empty-t16859.0.html.

Thanks a lot.

Rosivaldo.

Just two questions.
Did you uninstall in safe mode?
Did you install with only essential windows process running ie:- definitely with AVG shut down
As I have no problems with AVG7.5
Dennis

No, and No (but did closed other viewable wins).
I did have to enter Safe Mode to disable the beta v3 release.

I haven't installed in safe mode & only after ending non-ess Win processes in nearly 10 years (Win 95 or earlier?) That should not be necessary, or if it is then the app should refuse to install otherwise.

My problems are comletely solved by reverting to v2.4. I'll wait six months & come back to find a stable, beautiful v3 or v4. That'll be fun.

decided to go back to the beta again  Laugh, sounds like as said in the changelog it really works better together with Avast. But again, the firewall has completely stopped logging a few hours ago. I've deactivated and reactivated the logging function, rebooted, that all brings nothing, nothing in the log viewer. Any idea? What could I do to have it work again? (apart from reinstalling) thanks.

update: after I disconnected and reconnected my router (from the internet), CFP logs again...any explanation?
( I didn't have any connection issue when I did that, that what just to see how CFP behaves after that)

running Win XP/sp2 + CFP 3.0.14.273 + Avast AV + MS Defender

adding: I've had a crash (of CFP 3.0.14.273) when purging the pending list, sent the automatically generated report to Comodo via mail. That type of crash has happened in the same conditions already earlier today when I was still on the official release 3.0.13.268)

adding: I lost twice all network access from the PC to my router today (router was well connected to the Internet), had to reboot to get connected again. Can't tell if that's CFP related.

I downloaded and installed the new test version.Installation no problem but even without Defense+ active the application still ended absorbed 50% of CPU usage. That is down from the full 100%. It should be noted I am running Windows XP SP2 with Intel Core2Duo and 2 Gig of computer ram.

Comodo v3.0.13.268 didn't work for me, but not for the reasons listed in the poll.  My issue was that the msiexec.exe installer (specifically for pcAnywhere) kept firing off at login, not to mention any time I ran Windows Update or launched MS Word 2003.  I suspect a Registry glitch but just can't figure it out.

The forum entry I posted to regarding this can be found here:

https://forums.comodo.com/help_for_v3/another_v3_wierdness_with_pcanywhere_105-t16307.0.html

Though clearly this isn't happening to everyone, other posts indicate it's happened to some folks where they saw an installer for the Dell Resource CD kick off, or for HP printer drivers, etc.  The other posts had responses all geared around re-installing the particular app, when clearly the problem (if you read my posts) is with Comodo's installation.

I really hope someone looks into this, as other than this one issue, for me this version of Comodo has otherwise run just fine (no 100% CPU, etc.).

My only other comment regarding this version is that the export/import feature doesn't work.  I exported my configuration before uninstalling to test things out, and upon reinstalling and importing that exported config, found it did not restore my settings as I would have expected.  Basically, it didn't work at all, so I now have to reconfigure my firewall again.

Yes, I've tried. But "Firewall>Network Security Policy>Application Rules" hasn't a "Windows updater applications" rule (I've tried in two different systems). Worse: my build is .268, and Egemen suggestion is for .273 only. Shouldn't I try to update it first?

OK, I am new to CFP.  I downloaded the newest v3, and installed because you are the only ones that support both Vista AND 64bit that i can find.  The only problem so far is using the new Windows live mail program, i cannot get my gmail account to recieve mail.  It sends it, just won't recieve.  I have looked and tryed multiple posts that are out there in the forum, but none of them work.  Also, I am not sure what i am to see, but when i go into the advance tab of the firewall, and select the predine programs, it doesn't list any programs at all.  Even when I go to the defense + side, it doesn't list the mail program at all.  Pls help.

I had issue with starting The Bat! email program. As soon as I start The Bat! Comodo run to 100% CPU and all was really blocked. Restart was only solution.

Now I installed the 3.0.14.273_XP_Vista_x32.exe and all previous problems seems to be fixed. So far I did not observe any problems except with some small with help file. I had message that there is some undefined error in verse 232 and if I want to debug but all is working fine. After I block C:\Windows\hh.exe access to internet no more error message. Looks like some minor bug. Same default settings for Firewall and Defense+ as before.

Good job, well done.

bug in the submission process:

just something I noticed: say you wanna do an online lookup with a bunch of files, and some of them are found safe, then you get prompted to submit those found unknown. A yes answer then leads to all files being submitted, including the safe ones. And once that's done and you're back in the pending list, the safe files haven't been automatically removed of course. The only workaround is to answer no at the submission prompt, get your safe files moved automatically, and select what's left to manually submit it.

Ok, I have just installed the Test Version and here is a quick report:

1. Comodo could not remember Firefox as a trusted application as I entered it manually before running it for the first time.

2. Stealth Port wizard seems to be not working properly as uTorrent is showing Yellow Triangle. This was not the case with the public version 3.

I shall post the other issues here as and when found out.

Thank you.

It seems to remember my configuration after running a few days and setting the privileges.   Why treat Firefox as a trusted application and not a browser?
