Internet Extremely slow.

I have been a Comodo fan for quite a while, I've used it since I left Sygate (goddamn you Symantec killing all my favorite companies: partition magic, [ at ] stake, sygate, etc) so its been good to me for probably almost a year on XP.
I just recently took the plunge and upgraded to Vista Ultimate x64. So I went and got the newest Comodo, downloaded and installed no problems.
The internet comes almost to a halt, it takes 30+ seconds to load a simple page, right click the tray icon>Firewall Security Level>Disabled, everything is fine again. I turn it back on, back to a slow halt. Defense+ settings don't seem to affect performance.
This is pretty much a clean install of Vista, I have not put anything more than a few games and office on it...
I have a Comcast 6/.3mbit connection, the internet is normally very snappy with Firefox using tweaked settings.
Notable software:
Comodo 3.0.14.276
ESET NOD32 AV 3.0.566.0
Acronis TrueImage
O&O Defrag
All Vista updates
Games (Steam, Crysis, etc)\
Adobe CS3/Office 2007
Notable Hardware:
CPU: Q6600 [ at ] 3.5GHz
RAM: 5GB 380Mhz 3-4-4-10
HDD: OS: 320x2 in RAID-0, Storage: 500x4 in RAID-5 (Onboard intel raid controller)
VIDEO: ATI x1900GT

Both CFP and NOD32 v3 scan the incoming web traffic. The module in NOD32 is ekrn.exe and it behaves as a proxy, filtering all web traffic through itself. This has the effect that all outbound internet connections appear to CFP as coming from ekrn.exe. For such a slow connection, there must be a conflict between the two. Look at the Event logs (Firewall>Common Tasks>View Firewall Events and similar for Defense+) and see if you can spot any problems. It may also help if you can tell NOD32 to ignore CFP's processes - basically cfp.exe and cmdagent.exe, but you might want to put all 7 exe's on whatever "Allow/Exclude/Safe" list NOD32 has.

There are no items to show in events.
After disabling AV, Email protection, and Web Access Protection in Nod32, it performs exactly the same, it seems to be 100% dependent on whether Comodo's settings...
Also when Comodo is enabled it seems like file transfers are working like normal at full speed, but browsing almost comes to a half I cant figure it out...
I have disabled http scanning in NOD32 and will test a couple things, but I think your right with it being a conflict between the two, I'd like to disable NOD32 from scanning the internet, but it always did on XP and never caused a problem with both scanning the internet... Will report back after doing some testing, gotta reboot...

Well I found out how to disable the ekrn stuff with nod32, by unmarking all apps as a browser, all traffic appears out of firefox.exe like it should... But it still didnt fix anything.
It seems once the connection is made it works fine but when the browser makes a new connection (even for like dns resolution) it takes about 10~15 seconds per connection before it works. (Hence the delay when loading pages)

Do you have the DNS client windows service disabled? That is where caching of DNS requests is enabled.

Its enabled, but it does it on every connection even if you use an IP address.

Try uninstalling CFP and turning off NOD32 before rebooting and then install CFP before turning NOD32 back on. NOD32 may turn itself on at bootup, so you might have to turn it off again. Make sure that your network and devices are connected. Also, I am not sure how Steam works, but I read that it is very unhappy when extra background processes are running. Does it run in the background when you connect?
Completely off topic, but I notice you have two 320 Gb drives set up in Raid0 - I saw a comment in Smart Computing recently that said that a Raid0 configuration does not protect against data loss. In fact, if one drive is lost, the data from both is lost.

I don't even have nod32 installed anymore...
Steam is not started.
Raid 0 = Striped... no **** there is no redundancy? Where is redundancy in striping? Hence the fact its used on an OS drive for PERFORMANCE. The OS drive is backed up regularly. Seriously who uses RAID without at least knowing what the levels they are using are for?
Any more intelligent suggestions before I abandon Comodo?

It is perhaps unlikely, but my thought about re-installing CFP was that NOD32 may have interfered with the initial installation - not that it was doing so while uninstalled.

Completely removed and completely re-installed, used basic only settings, no Defense+, I opened Firefox w/ FasterFox plugin, it took 18.84s to load the google news page, usually its like ~1s... I think I'm gonna try the older Comodo.
nvm it doesnt look like v2 has x64 support

Please file a bug report on your problem. The support for 64 bit processors has been introduced only lately and there appears to be a bug in the way it works for your system. Sorry for all the grief. The original 64 bit support was limited to AMD processors and it looks like the kinks have not all been ironed out yet.
