Hello gibran

This is from Win-XP (Pro) as you wish. I've no trouble at all with CFP (3.0.18.309):

HKLM\SOFTWARE\ComodoGroup\CDI\1\Product Version = 3.0.12.266

HKLM\SOFTWARE\ComodoGroup\CDI\1\Product Name = COMODO Firewall Pro

HKLM\SYSTEM\Software\Comodo\Firewall Pro\Configurations\0\Version = 03016295(hex)

HKLM\SYSTEM\Software\Comodo\Firewall Pro\Configurations\1\Version = don't have that key

HKLM\SYSTEM\Software\Comodo\Firewall Pro\Configurations\2\Version = don't have that key

cfpver.dat in your COMODO\Firewall folder = 3.0.18.309

I'm sorry to say that thats the end for comodo on my computer.Sad cause i used to love that firewall.
But ever since the trouble with the updates started it just got worse and worse. It crashes my net totally,it stops other applications from running(something i experiended in some of the first beta's) And it started since the malwarescanner was implemented in the firewall. Now i uninstalled it and  reversed the system, and now the system runs smooth. I'm using vista x64 SP1 UAC OFF,Nod32,windows defender. But i will be wathing out for a future version and then return to comodo,i'm sure of that.

I have Microsoft Widows Vista 32 bits and I got the same problem with Comodo.
Everythig started when Comodo installed an update for the first time. Since every time I start widows Comodo still ask me about updates.
If I close Comodo and open it again it will still ask me about the updates. If I check for updates, updates are 'avalaible'.
But if I close Comodo and run it as Administrator, it won't find updates to install.

Actuallt I *think* the update was installed but the program can not check this if it is not run as Administrator.

To Gibran,

I am not sure I am using regedit correctly but I do have xp pro as an OS and am experiencing the perpetual update problem.

My current version shows  as 3.0.18.309 and has been incrementally auto updated from version 3.0.14.274.

I did find the auto update key on the comodo group and little else.

and that showed as AuUpT  reg binary  70 29 c4 47 00 00 00 00

If you want more I need  step by agonizing step directions to get to where you want me to go in regedit. I try the promising ones but get nothing about comodo.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update edit---further blunder around in regedit finds a comodo program group.

version number shows comodo ver 3.0. x.295

Below that is three short cuts

the first two show 0x00000017(23)
the last shows       0x00000019(25)

Maybe this can help the devs to solve the problem:
1- Turn firewall off (taskbar >right click > exit)
2- Turn it on again as administrator (Start menu > comodo firewall pro > right click> run as administrator)
3- chech for updates manually... no updates available!

Running Vista Home premium.

I am using Comodo on 32 bit Vista.  After a succession of updte notification I am now at 3.0.18.309 but when I click Check for Updates, I am still told that updates are available.  Is that correct, please?

Thanks.

I too have been having "the problem". I tried what you suggested and also was notified that "no updates available." I guess the question is, what will happen the next time I start up the computer as a user and not as the admin?

If you login as anormal user, the updates are there again. Definitively, there something wrong with the way Comodo manages updates in windows Vista!
