You do need help with Comodo and networking cause your Comodo needs to allow your laptop to communicate to your desktop.  Why exactly do you need to uninstall Comodo?

In order for my laptop to communicate with my laptop Comodo has to be shut down! Comodo will NOT allow the connection.
If I disable it, I am left with no firewall protection at all. I need to get rid of Comodo and use the Windows firewall because the Windows firewall can be configured to allow the connection!
Unfortunately it is just about impossible to uninstall the Comodo firewall unless you are a computer professional, and I am NOT!
Because of this problem the laptop cannot be used to connect with the desktop because it would have NO firewall protection at all.
I do not know how to explain it any simpler than that...

Please try to hang in there this morning, yankee1620.  I'll be online again this afternoon (~2:00 PM CDT) to start with troubleshooting your system.

Thanks.

Comodo CAN be configured properly so that your desktop and laptop communicate with no issues. JUST ask. Make a thread under the help section.

What help section.
There are two. One is HELP and the other is HELP for V3, whatever that is.

I have comodo version 1.0.0.1....not 3.
I don't seem to find it as amusing as you do.
As long as you find it necessary to continuously be insulting, please do not reply any more.
Thank you.

I have comodo version 1.0.0.1....not 3...
The version number you referenced above pertains to the "Comodo Firewall Installer", not the actual file that launches the firewall.

To determine the actual version of CFP you have, you will need to right-click on the following file (the actual file path may be different):
C:\Program Files\Comodo Firewall Pro\cfp.exe
then select "Properties", then go to the "Version" tab and select "File Version" in the window, "Other Version Information."

If you have the latest version of CFP installed, this number may show as "3.0.23.362".  This may be an error, as the programmers might not have updated the version information correctly for "cfp.exe".  The latest version is 3.0.24.368.

Yes, I know that, but if she cannot access the Graphical User Interface (GUI) for some reason, that won't work.  Let me try to work with her over the weekend and see if we can get her issue resolved.

Thanks.

Ok USSS but she can access Comodo. Her main problem is she cannot get Comodo to communicate properly between her laptop and desktop. Since she cannot figure it out or has to ask for help she wants to uninstall it. Read her first post here.

This is a bad joke.  I have been trying to uninstall also.  I feel sorry for Yankee having to put up with all these convoluted instructions and then getting insulted in the process.  I don't blame her for being upset.  I am also.  The software should uninstall simply and cleanly.  It's not ready for distribution until it does.  There should at least be a warning before you in install.  You shouldn't need a degree in computer science to get off your machine.
