I stopped using Comodo awhile ago on all computers except my wifes. It was configured already and she's a pain in the ass when it comes to having to configure anything, If anything gets blocked, or anything doesn't work.
Guess what Comodo updated itself, I don't know how long it's been asking ti update, I don't use her computer, to 3.0.14.276.
And now ALL INTERNET ACCESS IS BLOCKED AND THE FIREWALL WILL NOT UNISTALL!
These instruction are meant to be followed AFTER the program in uninstalled, so now what?
Downloading the installer ask if I want to uninstall and fails as well.
NOT GOOD!

Doesn't work in safe-mode either. The uninstaller either never starts or shuts down right immediately.

These instructions will remove Comodo regardless however it may remain in the Add remove programs if you use these instructions to remove CFP3 you will have to force removal from add remove try removing in safe mode with an Admin account login It will not allow uninstall in a limited user account. Did you consider you might have a virus blocking Internet access

I tried removing under the administrator account anyway although there are no limited users on this computer.
I'm going to run the BAT file in safe-mode.
I doubt I have a virus blocking the internet since the Comodo panel say the firewall is "malfunctioning"
Ran the BAT file and over half of the files were'nt found. I think something might've happened during the install to seriously hose it.

Time to face problems with Vista and Comodo version for this OS (3.0.21.329). As many said before me here (but they were running XP), after I uninstalled Comodo, it seems that it is still running.
Maybe the problem is in Windows (XP, Vista or whatever) and maybe Microsoft is not interested in solving these problems with non-Microsoft programs. So maybe it's time that Comodo starts to take care of these bugs, because - whatever is the cause of those problems - users will always think it's Comodo's fault.
Thank you.
P.S. I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall it the first time. Then I re-installed and uninstalled it with Revo again. Then I cleaned the registry with CCleaner and then again with Wise Registry Cleaner. And then i also used (as administrator) your uninstall tool. Every program I used said that the uninstallation was ok. But Comodo is running in background...

Hi droalex,
With "running in background", do you mean that the process for either cfp.exe or cmdagent.exe is active in the memory? If that's the case, they can't be removed while running, so you'll have to terminate them and then remove them.
Cheers,
Ragwing

Hmm...20,000th view today for this thread, only 116 days after it was started.
I really don't want to see this go to 30,000, frankly.
Comodo, let's make simple, seamless uninstallation of CFP a top priority from here on out, OK? Especially for Vista users.
You've got the updater working well, so let's take the next big step forward for the benefit of those who -- for various, legitimate reasons -- cannot or do not want to use CFP and need to remove it completely from their systems.
Thanks.

Well, not really. Those processes are not running. But so what? The fact that they are not running, it means that I shouldnt care about Comodo Firewall that is ON according to Vista security features? I dont want to have Comodo among them since i uninstalled it!! So? What's the answer to that? How to uninstall Comodo 100% from our Vista System?!?

Here is code to delete CF (Comodo Firewall) legacy keys on XP 32 bit. Just download .txt file and rename it to .bat or .cmd extension.
Some guide/advices:
- before executing script use
ERUNT
or similar utility to backup registry;
- launch script under administrative user account or right click and select "run as admin", otherwise it may fail;
I'm not responsible for anything, use at your own risk
Happy hunting for CF legacy keys
