Hi!

First, a little background.

I just installed ver. 276 by using the program update rather than uninstalling the previous version and starting from scratch. After doing that, out of curiosity as much as anything else, I navigated to "miscellaneous" and clicked "diagnostics". Errors/problems with my connection were found but could not be fixed (I was logged in as a "limited user" at the time). I then did the obvious: logged off and back in as "admin" and did it again and allowed Comodo to "fix" my connection. A "restart" was suggested by Comodo. Done and no problems have popped up in the intervening several minutes.

The question(s).

How do I find how what Comodo changed? Is there a log somewhere? If there isn't, I suggest that that the next update/version automatically create one. It'd be nice to be able to be certain that something wasn't changed/repaired/fixed that I did not want changed in my Comodo and or connection settings configurations. I am one of those people that use the default rules only as a starting point.

Thanks guys and keep up the good, fast work.

P.S. If you're wondering why I clicked and allowed something to be changed without knowing in advance what the results would be, mark it down to my trust in Comodo.  Love Comodo

I don't know about any such error reporting for the installation.  One thing you should try is the Miscellaneous>Manage My Configurations page to export your rules to a file for later import to the new version.  I did that this time with success AFAIK.  One thing that confused me was that you have to click on the configuration that you want to save even if there is only one on the list.  You don't get the save dialog until you click on the configuration you want to save.  Then too, it was a bit confusing that you Import the configuration into the new version and then you have to Select it.  It is not automatically written over the configuration that CFP starts with, just added to the list of configurations available.

Hmmm. I'll try that next time.

Thanks for the suggestion.

 Cheers
