Here's my 2¢...
All you people asking for V3 on Win 2k3 are nuts, why would you even THINK of putting something like this on a production server. Thats what stuff like Trustix is for. Even in the event you want this server in DMZ, no MCSA or MCSE in their right mind would put a bugged out application like this on a server. (no offense comodo)
Agreed. But who says they want to add it to a production server? Perhaps they are testing a theoretical scenario... Who knows? Maybe they are running a 4 processor (not core) Itanium system they got cheap from a clearance sale of old business servers that came with 2K3 and want to use it at home as their desktop.
Bugged-out? Heh. Prolly shouldn't be using a Microsoft Product as a Server at all in that case. Ok ok, cheap shot, but think about it, since we need to use Trustix to provide protection for a Win2K3 server, perhaps you need to get a Linux+ or RHCT cert. and use RH as your server

BTW, Trustix is pretty cool, but I'd prefer a BSD-based goodie

Win2K3 is so bad, MS had to effectively disable IE on install with the advanced security config. due to the security issues with their own product. Someone got paid too much! or not enuf!

As one of the best "free" firewalls I have found, the only complaint is that you use the people as guinypigs to do your debugging. But we are all used to it from M$.

Third, stop hounding comodo to put back W2k3 support for your cracked frankenstation, a $4000 enterprise server OS is of course better than XP, but companies aren't gonna jump through hoops to make their software run on an OS that it is not meant to be run on. Go back to downloading some other cracked firewall off those torrentz u lamerz.
Oh, and comodo, if I don't get a chance to post in the feature request forum, why don't u consider making your firewall open-source if you are commited to it being FREE for all time. Winblowz could use a good firewall sauce.
Spare some change?

It might have been true pre-vista, but now that we've seen how awful nt 6.0 is, it's no surprise power users are moving to 2k3 on the desktop. Better driver support, less bloat (less than a non-server like vista, imagine!) and better support for XP appz make it a functional alternative to vista.
If it weren't for frankenstations, MS would have far less market share than it does today. Proof of this is the amazing proliferation of workarounds to get vista working... I've never seen so many exploits: full install from upgrade version (built-in by Microsoft), time-stopper, wga removal/spoofs, local KMS vm-ware server activation, BIOS OEM patch... and the list goes on. Either MS is soooper sloppy (and thus get what they deserve) or these exploits were intentional at some level. After all , if the poor/cheap can't crack it, they'll head for Linux.
On open-source, they are probably waiting 'till we're all addicted, then we can buy a 2K3 patch later without them violating the GNU License. JK!
