CFP v3 and Stardock Windowblinds
«
on:

I'm running Windowblinds 5.1 on XP SP2 and am having issues with the dialog boxes being transparent in the CFP v3 UI. I added the cfp.exe to the list of per-application settings in WindowBlinds and prevented it from being skinned, and that fixed the transparency, but for some reason all of the list boxes (ones that show things like pending files, network security policy, defense+ events, etc) all showed up as blank - no entries - even though I most definitely had rules defined, files waiting for submission, etc.
I removed the per-app rule in windowblinds and now everything looks as it should be. There was never a functionality issue with CFP other than visibility issues with the dialog boxes, but for some reason now it seems to view everything correctly. Note that I uninstalled and re-installed CFP while the per-app setting was defined and in force. Not really sure what happened, but just wanted to post this in case any other WindowBlinds users out there are seeing any UI issues like this as well.
Since there were no functionality issues and since the issue seems to have righted itself, I'm not posting this in bugreports.
Thanks!

Thanks for posting this solution, /d and welcome to the forum.
It worked for me
. After adding cfp.exe to the per-applications, I simply had to exit (internet disconnect of course) CFP and restart it.
There's also cfpsbmit.exe, cfpconfg.exe, cfplogvw.exe, cfpupdat.exe, crashrep.exe that must be added because they are separate CFP processes for the Files Submissions, Updater screen, etc.

Dont add cfp.exe and others to per-application settings because

but for some reason all of the list boxes (ones that show things like pending files, network security policy, defense+ events, etc) all showed up as blank - no entries - even though I most definitely had rules defined, files waiting for submission, etc.
Screenshot of this situation:
Solution: click EXIT Comodo on tray icon and start it again (cfp.exe). All rules will appear.
If you not add cfp.exe and others to per-application settings, you will see next picture:
All of needed elements are visible anr works. Some transapnent bugs, but not so hard.
This bug present in all versions of Comodo exclude 3.0.13.268 version.
In 3.0.13.268 adding cfp.exe and others to per-application settings remove problem with transpanency.

That's true. I already discovered that flaw afterwards, but since it was getting annoying to have to restart CFP at every boot, I ditched WB.

I have the same problem. Comodo is the only program that conflicts with WB but I love Wb and will keep it. I change my pc around all the time. Hopefully Comodo can address this issue.

Disturbs such fact as normal work only v.3.0.13 in WB exclusions.
Strange...

There is nothing wrong with Windowblinds. All you do is right click on the taskbar icon and exit out. Then just opn up Comodo again and all will be fine till next reboot.

I don't know about the "next reboot" thing but adding cfp.exe to the exclusion list of WB 6.02, exiting CFP and restarting worked fine for me.
I generally find it is good sense to exclude from skinning all apps which ignore the default Windows Themes anyway.
This is just a little cosmetic bug; as long as people know it exists and the workaround, this can wait.

The latest up date of Windowsblinds and the latest Comodo took care of this problem for me. I no longer have to exclude Comodo from Windowblinds skinning. Also be sure your video card drivers and .NET Framework are up to date.

Can anybody else confirm that latest versions of Windowblinds and CF don't have this issue? Or still one needs to add cfp.exe to per-application list of Windowblinds?

I can. I am using the latest Comodo and the lastest Windowsblinds updated through Stardock central and the GUI is fine. If you add Comodo to Windowblinds then the problems happens. I do not have Comodo added to Windowblinds and it works fine. GUI is still slow though.

The latest WindowBlinds 6.02 has an option to automatically exclude skinning any programs that are not theme-aware and it works perfectly on CFP 3
