Help, please! l installed Comodo Firewall Pro ver. 2.3.18.184 and it  seemed fine, but something must have gone wrong and it started loading without the Application Monitors working. Ok, so I decided to reinstall, only to discover that there in no uninstaller (something must have gone wrong at first installation). So, my question - how can I uninstall Comodo in order to reinstall it, if I can't uninstall it  because there's no uninstaller? Hope this is clear enough to get sonme help! Thanks, Craig

Does it show in Windows Add/Remove programs, or is that where you're saying there's no uninstaller?

Have you looked for Comodo's uninstall routine in these locations:  Start/All Programs/Comodo/Comodo Firewall, or c:\program files\comodo\fwconfig.exe?  Not sure if the .exe will run manually or not.

Also, here's a step-by-step true manual uninstall of the FW:  http://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,6006.msg44576.html#msg44576.  Here's a thread that deals with some uninstall issues.  It was originally started for some installshield problems with older versions of the FW, but a lot of it is still applicable.  http://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,302.msg1799.html#msg1799

Hope that helps,

LM

PS:  Might also try MS Installer Cleanup Utility http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=290301, and/or a 3rd-party uninstaller like ZSoft http://www.zsoft.dk/

Thanks for your assistance Little Mac,

Firstly, the application does NOT appear in Add/Remove programs in XP. I tried all the methods that you outlined in your reply, but none worked, mainly I can't even start CPF (it claims that  CPFRES.DLL is missing which I did download and install, but it still doesn't work) to deselect the "protect own registry entry" tag, so when I searh the registry to delete all the Comodo keys, they won't let me delete them. Until I manage to uninstall this nonfunctioning instance of CPF l can't reinstall.... so, am I stuck?

Thanks again, Craig
