Hi Guys,
We have verified that this is a bug and will be fixing this issue. If those popups disturb you, you can disable "Monitor Window Messages" and "Monitor Ole/Com Requests" options in Security->Advanced->Application Behavior Analysis section until we fix the bug. I dont think disabling these options will pose a big security risk.
Thanks for the cooperation,
Egemen (WCF15)

What version is supposed to fix the pop-up problem? I'm using version 2.1.1.1 and I'm still getting the random pop up messages with Adobe Acrobat. See attached pictures, it says that "AcroRD32.exe has modified the user interface of Xnews" the other one says it's modified Opera.
Edited to add: I should note that the popups started happening right after I had used Acrobat to read some PDF files. I also had Opera and Xnews open at the same time. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Those are not the same popup messages. One for Opera.exe and the other for Xnews.exe. Adobe Acrobat Reader communicates with other applications over a protocol called DDE. CPF alerts you for this behavior.
When you select "Remember" option, you create the rule for the application connecting to the internet, in your case, opera.exe and xnews.exe.
Namely, remember means "I allow AcroRd32.exe to modify the user interface of Opera.exe".
If AcroRd32.exe tries to do the same for XNews.exe, CPF will ask you again for XNews.exe.
If you dont want to see these types of popups, just disable "Monitor Window Messages". If you do not want to see OLE Automation type popups, disable "Monitor COM/OLE Requests" option in "Security->Advanced->Application Behavior Analysis" section.

Sure looks like the same pop up messages to me. See Timcan's earlier post where he attaches a picture. Same one as the opera picture. That's what others have been talking about in this thread.
Now, why would Acrord32.exe try to modify the user interface of Xnews? There is no reason for that. I've checked "remember" in the past and I'm still getting these messages. I think the problem is with the Comodo firewall.
I'll see if I can save some of the other sporadic pop up messages and post them here.

Thats what has been fixed. Previously, CPF was asking for the same application even if you select remember option.

DDE messages can be sent to other applications when they use the same generic components etc. Acrobat Reader integrates itself to Windows with many advanced techniques. So you see those popups.
Select "Remember" option to see if you get the same popups or not.

Oh..ok. I was wondering what the fix was. I'll try checking "remember" again and see if I have any further problems.
Thank for your help.
