I will do the suggestions you made soon, the Msconfig time frame I am not totally sure of but I did a clean install of Windows late November.

I followed your instructions and next startup Comodo loaded straight away.

Thank you very much its very helpful to have people with your expertise to ask questions of.

Just checked by rebooting and the system configuration utility is no longer popping up at startup.
I checked CCleaner and It has gone from the Startup.
