Greetings from a NEWBY and LeonSprings, Texas USofA,
I too am having the "BSOD" but only when I also have the Free Download Manager,
www.freedownloadmanger.org
, installed after the Update to CPF Pro v3.x the only other alternative is to remove, which I have, the CPF Pro. Maybe if you give me a location to go back to a previous version would give me some protection. Those two programs worked together just fine, just when doing the update caused my crashes.
As the opening states I am a NEWB when it comes to XP SP-2 and do not know where to find these 'minidump files' so if you can give me some guidance as to where to find them I will provide.
Thank you for reading my Posty notey,

go to the folder at this location --> "C:\WINDOWS\Minidump"
you should find the minidump files there.

'C2K'
Thank you for this guidance, will get to the minidump and posting after I learn how to use the NTWind software for posting that minidump. It is a drag to be NewBY, especially when the training wheels get in your way.
Thank you for reading and responding to my roaster toaster,
Edited by NtTxLS > Excuse me for jumping in here at this time, 1537 CST USofA, looked in the location you gave and it is MT (empty). So should I reload the copy that caused all of my crashes so I can get the info suggested in the 'Newby's instructions to follow for minidumps and CPF logs?' I know this will not get done today, as you are on a different time schedule than I. You have not even read my above post, yet, so I can wait.
Thank you for reading my addition to my roaster toaster, with jelly,

More info, if will help or not is questionable, had installed the CFwPro v2.4.18.184 (file CFP_Setup_English_2.4.18.184.exe) and FreeDownloadManager (file fdminst.exe which was the latest copy for FDM at that time) which is the only way both will work together. Downloaded a copy of CPF v3.0.13.268 (file CFP_Setup_3.0.13.268_XP_Vista_x32.exe) which is the latest copy for Comodo at that time. The file for FDM is the latest for their program at the time of download and will work well the v2.4.18.184 of Comodo.
Removed the FDM v2.5 build 729 and Comodo v2.4.18.184. Proceeded with the install of the latest version of Comodo. All went well with the install and operations until late yesterday afternoon, some where between 1400hrs (2P) CDT and about 1645hrs (4:45P) CDT the BSOD came up with the same information as before for the "Tech Info:" in all of the crashes with the latest copy of Comodo installed. That is as follows (quotes are mine):
" ***STOP: 0x00000050 (0xBAD0B154, 0X00000000), 0X8058188F, 0X00000000 "
No MiniDump found in the location given by C2K. This BSOD occurred without the FDM being installed, the FDM may have caused this to occur sooner, because; it did happen more quickly than yesterday. I was up with my system operational from about 0145hrs (1:45A) CDT and worked with both of my browsers and e-mail client (Pegasus Mail v4.41 (Win32), Jul 16 2006) without any difficulties. I had left my system up and connected to the Internet while conducting some other business from about 1100hrs until I discovered the BSOD at about 1645hrs at which time I turned it off. Leaving it until this morning when I turned it on entering "Safe Mode" removing CPF v3.0.18.268 and restarting in Normal Mode where I reinstalled the same CPF v3.xxx and started on this message. Will review the instructions for other information needed about my system and will post that later, if you feel it would be of some HELP! I need this to be able to have my system fully operational and fully protected by your firewall if possible.
Thank you for reading my rambling message,

To find where your minidumps are located, or to make sure that they are being logged, right click on "My Computer" and choose properties. Click on the "Advanced" tab. Click on the "Settings" button under "Startup and Recovery". Under the "System failure" section, the "Small dump directory" is where the minidumps are stored.
My settings are as follows:
"Write an event to the system log" is checked
"Send an administrative alert" is checked
"Automatically restart" is
not
checked
"Write debugging information" dropdown is set to "Small memory dump (64 KB)"
"Small dump directory" is set to "%SystemRoot%\Minidump"
Hope that helps you in finding or turning on your minidump logs.

"C2K"
Have checked those locations as you recommend and they are set as you have described, yet there still are NO 'minidump' files.
Am presently working on the data from CFP v3.0 and find it a little bit lengthy as some of those screenshots will require several shots to cover all that are listed. Some range from a few to almost 500 line items or do you just want a sampling of line items, like remove the dups?
Thank you for this info on the minidumps,
Edited by NTxLS today>> Do not find any LOGS as referenced in the instructions for Newbys by Toggie. Nor do I find any window that can be right clicked to save to HTML.
Excuse me, it looks as though I will need someone to lead me by hand to find what is required by you or maybe some better instructions.
Thank you for your patients and reading my messages,

My problem maybe should be moved to the "HELP for v3" as that is the version I am using. Did not notice until just now that this is for v2. Maybe that is why I have had difficulty in finding some of the information needed.
This seems to be the only topic about the "BSOD" and I am in v3.0.13.268 of Comodo Firewall Pro. Should I start a new topic there?
Thank you for all of the assistance and patients, I await your reply,

"C2K,"
Thanks to "AOwL" I am finally in the correct area, maybe, to eventually get to the bottom of my problem, mostly to find where and what I need to report correctly to acquire the HELP I need.
Discovered my "Memory.dmp" file or minidump is not placed where it should be, even though the correct location was posted in the "SystemProperties/Advanced/StartUpRecovery/Settings, Write Debugging Information, Small dump directory: %SystemRoot%\Minidump" the actual place where it is placed is '\Windows\Memory.dmp' instead of the minidump folder.
Under Comodo Firewall/ Help for v3 link to this location:
https://forums.comodo.com/empty-t6747.0.html;new;topicseen#new
found the last message on that page with some very helpful information. Like what you had given me plus the name of the file created, "Memory.DMP" and did a search for that one. Found to be in the "Windows" folder not the Minidump. Will give that a try, but; not in this area but in the correct one, Help For v3.
Thank you for reading my rambling messes maybe one day I will know enough to post correctly and in the correct place,

This thread has been going for quite a while. I just started getting the BSOD: driver irql not less or equal, with reference to cmdmon.sys.
Has anyone actually resolved this issue?
Peace,

I have not had any BSOD since going to version 3.0.13.268.
This is the response I got from Comodo Support on the issue of
cmdmon.sys causing BSOD
:
Quote
Now You can download the latest release 3.0.13.268 from
http://personalfirewall.comodo.com
and uninstall the existing, restart the computer and install the latest.
It will fix your issue.
