Sorry to hear that. I think you can still find legal copies of XP to buy around the internet. Not sure of where exactly, but if you have the spare cash it might be an idea. I'm doing it as soon as I can work up the will to spend some money on Microsoft before all those discs are gone.

In any case, you'll have it soon (i hope)

Gotcha, sorry for the misunderstanding. When you mentioned that your XP Pro went bad I thought maybe you wanted to go back to it for some reason. My mistake.

I'd love to test the alpha, but I doubt they'll let us Sad

Regarding what's taking so long I'd guess it's just a few tweaks at this point. The actual engine was out a while ago, they're working on some new stuff that (I think) features the virus database of the the antivirus, and it all seems to be coming together in their releases. Also, they're trying to coincide this release with the one of the Internet Security package so perhaps some things there?

Nothing I say is known for a fact keep in mind, just my conjecture.

Then it shouldn't take much longer.  Bounce

Then how did you know about the engine? Huh

My mistake, I should have spoken a little more carefully. The engine was integrated with CFP3 a while back, that is fact. The reasons I came up with for why the beta might be taking a little longer than expected are my ideas alone.
