Two quick questions. I am currently at a clients location and she has CIS ver 3.13.121240.574 installed. I would like to know if this is the latest version because when I try and update it says no new updates available. And second, Where on earth is the expiration date for this product located? I know this thing expires eventually and would like to inform her when it will occur. Oh I apologize but I have one last question... Is there a way to prevent the splash screen from happening every time the product is started?
Thank you in advance for any and all help on this.

Yes that is the product that I stated. I get a short splash screen when I launch it and I don't see an expiration date. Am I to believe it never expires and if so then why does the home page state a buy it now price for 1 year?
Maybe someone else will have a clue and be able to answer this. Or is this product a mystery to everyone? I also asked if this was the latest version and I guess that is not gonna be answered ether.

The only thing that could expire was if the client paid for a Pro license. Pro and free are exactly the same, but with the Pro you get live tech support and an application called Trust Connect to make secure Wi-Fi connections. Since I'm unfamiliar with the Pro version, I don't know if the application has a license expiry date somewhere, or if it must be checked online. Edit: In any case, the application itself does not expire.

Yes, that is the current version.

As for the splash screen, in the registry, check HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and check to see if CIS is set to start hidden. The key should be "C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\cfp.exe" -h

This type of attitude is unlikely to make people want to answer.

Please post in these forums in the same manner you would carry on a face to face conversation.

There is a splash screen in the free version. It is just hidden by default. Some users are missing the "hidden" switch in the registry key however, so they see the splash screen.
