Hi guys

Thank you for providing free software!

I have installed CB 1.0.3.0 and I have initially created a single backup of type "Service Backup". The backup is also scheduled to run every day at midnight. But it doesn't :-(

I have no problems running the backup manually but could somebody help me get my scheduled backups to run as well? The Comodo Backup Service is running so I just can't figure out wot to do... Huh

I'm running Windoze XP SP2 (actually now SP3 since yesterday - but scheduled backups hasn't worked on any of them).

Thanks in advance

Claus

Hi Claus and welcome to the forums.

Does the scheduled backup work if you log in as an administrator?

Is the backup job a "service" or "user" backup?

Please refer to https://forums.comodo.com/faq_for_comodo_backup/what_is_the_difference_between_service_backup_and_user_backup-t14309.0.html

Hope this helps,
Ewen :-)

Hi Claus

Here are some more links for you to read.  Read through the last one to at least post 23.  I'm sure we can get it working for you somehow.  Let us know

Hi Claus and welcome to the forums.

Thanks :-)

Well... I created the backup and I'm a member of the Administrators group... It wasn't the actual "Administrator" account that created the backup but what I've done is good enough right?

A  Service Backup

The service is run as the local System account... The backup is destined for my W: drive - a mapped network drive pointing at my NAS...

Hope this makes things a bit clearer...

Hey Claus,

Do you get the same results if you reference your NAS by UNC path, rather than by mapped drive letter?

Glad to be of assistance. I'll turn this into an FAQ entry.

Cheers,
Ewen :-)
