[Solved]CSC_3.0.172695.53 - unknown software exception (0xc0000417)

Hello,

My O.S. : Up to date XP Home 32 SP3

Whenever I try to perform on of the three tasks... :
- In Depth Registry Clean
- Normal Privacy Clean
- Aggressive Privacy Clean

...I get the following Application popup :
CSC.exe - Application Error : The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000417) occurred in the application at location 0x00398b34

The issue occurs after the data have been backed up

I disabled my anti-virus as well as Comodo's defense+ but it didn't help.
Many of my windows services are disabled but all my other applications run fine.
24 passes with Memtest86+ and no errors

I uninstalled CSC_3.0.172695.53, rebooted and tried CSU_FREE_4.0.216251.7_BETA but after the installation the application displays this popup :
COMODO System Utilities can only be started by an administrator which is logged on to the system.

I'm logged on to the system with an Administrator account.

Any idea why I get these issues ?

I'll address this issue but I mentioned it just because I thought
the two issues might somehow have the same origin.
