Restore File From Differential Backup

Comodo Backup 4.1.3 on Win 7 Pro

I used Windows NT Backup for many years with no problems. When restoring a file, I'd restore first from the full backup and then check the latest differential backup. If on the differential backup, I'd restore it again and be done with it.

Now that I'm using Comodo that doesn't seem to work. Files are listed on the differential that haven't changed since the full backup. The end result is the restored file has zero bytes.

At first I thought I could simply use the differential backup for the restore and if the file wasn't on that backup, Comodo would restore the file from the parent full backup. That doesn't happen even though the parent backup is checked or at least opened.

The log above shows restoring a single file from a differential backup (Notebook Sunday Backup.cbu). The parent full backup is Notebook Weekly Backup23.cbu.

Am I going about this wrong or are there other issues?
