Have you tried placing the firewall and D+ in training mode when you start a new game?

I have not found the need for a game mode. I play World of Warcraft for hours at a time without any problems on my low end system and also other games like Team Fortress 2 and Doom 3. I have no problems playing any of them.

To add---I don't put CIS in training mode while playing either, only for the initial setup of the game.
