how about the ability to update CIS and/or CAV via right-clicking the tray icon?

I like this idea also. I posted the pic below, as well as some other menu recommendations, in the usability forum (link accessable only to  development team).

update now is good but not ideal as it will mean that both CIS and CAV will be updated and if you update CIS, you need to restart the system as some users including myself don't want that!

how about having update CIS and update CAV as sub menus? i.e. update as a menu and inside update, you have update CIS and update CAV!

CIS v3.10.102363. allows update of CIS via Miscellaneous tab & Update of AVDB via Antivirus tab.

+1 for suggestion though
