Tried Orca. Has some good things but I prefer Sleipnir for my limited use of an alternative browser.

Orca, during installation, mention Avant at one point - a bit worrying, as Avant is a front end for IE.

It asked if should be default browser; I answered 'NO'. After I uninstalled it, some links from other apps. opened IE (didn't get out as I have set Comodo to block IE from the internet) so I started Opera and was asked if I wanted opera to be my default - answer 'YES!!!'

Finally some people have voted on the other browser besides the major ones. Not impressed, but "under"stating the statement  Tongue

BTW, should have posted this a couple of days ago: there's a build on Opera Labs that's a few up from the current 9.62 (it's 10469) and one of "Opera 9.62 Video, 3D canvas and File I/O preview builds". Been running it for about 3 days and it seems OK.

I feel that Opera 9.62 crashes a little too often, at least every week once or maybe twice. Also, Gmail isn't displayed 100% properly. Many users have Gmail, why can't Opera fix it? Or am I alone? There are minor GUI flaws like ugly frames around text box areas (when writing emails), and row breaks aren't made as one would expect.

Sad

Still I could never switch to anything else. At least not today.

Haven't had it crashing (except on the 'odd' site that's borked anyway). Does seem to load some sites apparently completely then hang at the last bit - clicking the stop button works, though.

Well, i do admit that Opera 9.62 is a little bit buggy, i just switched to 64-bit WIndows Vista 5 days ago (forgot to announce), and Opera 9.62 only crashed once and it was because of Comodo Registry Cleaner ( i usually close my programs first, but i forgot) o.O, unless arguments proves otherwise, i think Opera is more stable on 64-bit.

Maybe until the next release fixing the bugs

I feel that Opera 9.62 crashes a little too often,

Some bugs have crept since the transition from 9.2x to 9.5x, although things have improved somewhat since then, specially a mail indexing bug that got fixed. It must be that they're changing so fast, first the old stable 9.2x was rushed to 9.5x then to 9.6x now to 10.xx. I reckon this is the milestone they want to reach, and things will stabilize soon...
