I don't think I'll ever switch back to Firefox, Opera 10 is simply lighter and faster then Firefox.

LOL Jeff Laugh

Shame on me!!!! I always thought it was Gmail's problem! Cheesy

Happens here too. I never gave it too much important, though.

Thx for confirming. Smiler

Too bloated Tongue.  Here's my Opera right-click context menu on a webpage.

I see it's still misspelled. Tongue

How to decrease the size of opera6.ini from 23 KB to 6 KB

If you go to Preferences -> Advanced -> Downloads (see attachment) there is a risk that your opera6.ini gets bloated. Unless you cancel, the settings in Downloads will be added to opera6.ini. If you haven't made any changes in Downloads you can delete these rows from opera6.ini because Opera will know the default setting anyway.

Simply: in opera6.ini, look up [File Types]. Delete this row and everything under it until something new within [] appears.

I'm sure there is a lot of performance to be gained by doing this. Afro

Not sure that this would affect performance, but a lot in Cache, History etc. can affect the time to open.

On my PC Opera takes ~3s to open but that can go to ~5s when there's a lot stored. BTW, a large urlfilter.ini can slow Opera.
IE and FF take longer to open; IE is worse than it appears, as a lot of the time is used in opening Windows, so the real time is hidden.

Well, I don't know who did this test, but he still needs to learn alot

for example
Quote
Opera setup.exe is smaller then 6 mb, however since Opera gives this file for download by default then I took that file in count.
When you use the classic one, it only installs english and so it's the smalllest

Opera Classic Installer rules, hope they never stop distribute it. But who knows, maybe Opera 10 means distribution with the Windows Installer only. Embarrassed

You'll always have Opera[at]USB, authorized and tested by Opera.

Hello, experts, I'm in need of help: i have a laptop with vista home premium with sp1; firefox 3 crashes within a couple of hours of installation, opera won't work properly . I'm using chrome but it won't send hotmail emails, though it looks as if it does, they just don't arrive and there is no notification of non delivery. Yesterday I downloaded the ie8 beta2; i got a box saying it would not work with my operating system. I recently did a reformat, i'm almost certain I have no malware. ie7 works just fine, but slowly compared to chrome. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm using avast home with comodo firewall and everything there seems  good, I haven't had any problems since changing from onecare. any advice will be gladly received, thanks, peter
