I use Acronis True Image, which seems to be the most popular.  Broadband Reports poll at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r19580526-Poll-Backup-Imaging-Software-2008-Member-Choice-Poll lists most of them.

LOL, I thought that but I just wanted to say it  Grin

Well I had another one Altiris Local Recovery, but it seems that Symantec bought it over also  Sad

What about Returnil enabled. See System Restore no longer works. If I have a problem after installing or doing something I want the option to roll back.

I also use Acronis TrueImage.  Never let me down, and easy to use.

Vettetech, you should make it clear that you want to restore out of an existing XP Restore Point.. rather than seeking a replacement for XP's System Restore.

No Kail I don't. My PC is running fine besides for that IE script error but since I can no longer use System Restore I was looking for an alternative.

The product from Norton that is similar to System Restore is  "GoBack"
It worked better than System Restore, but my problem was I wanted to selectively run it but could not.

If Comodo could create a similar program but with more selectivity for the user, than GoBack, it would be interesting!  But resource usage must be kept under control!

OK, sorry. I feared that you would have lost more than just System Restore.

ERUNT is a better but partial replacement for System Restore because it only backs up the entire registry.  It doesn't cover files.  Old but reliable program.  I even used it 2 times yesterday when I wanted to temporarily install a couple of security programs.
