   Hi Languy.

Could you re-review DriveSentry? Your last review was incomplete.

   Regards,
   Jose.

I dunno if you are able to do this but it would be interesting to see how secure a vanilla install of Windows 7 is. Just using windows firewall, User account control and Windows defender.

Cheers

I would like to see that too, but with MSE used instead of Windows Defender since it has superceded it to all intents and purposes.

It's the first time I see MBAM come out with zero findings.

Everything's OK, but why do you answer ''no'' to the questions of UAC?If somebody goes to these sites and downloads something, he(she) will run them for sure!I don't like these kind of tests, when you react like a smart user. Not objectively.Sorry for these words, but this is my opinion. The defense of Win7 is good, but not enough!Better than XP, but nothing more.Smiley

BTW, I have tested KIS 2010 and NIS 2010 yesterday, and guess what...NIS made it better. And i have tested them with 30 or 40 malicious sites.I have some samples, that weren't detected by them, but MBAM catches every single thing.I'm really surprised by MBAM.What a detection rate!

If MSE had been installed the system would have come out clean as a virgin.

Microsoft can't have MSE pre-installed because of anti-trust laws, but soon they will find a way to push it to users; and things will became different in the realm of security vendors.
