Preference and habit.  I'm starting to accustom myself to using hotkey shortcuts.  Since I have the Window key (pretty much all modern keyboards have it), it's very convenient without having to click on the Minimize button of all programs to get to the desktop.

Examples:
Window + E = Explorer (aka My Computer)
Window + M = Minimize all opened application windows (good for "decreasing" memory use if you monitor the Task Manger.  You'll be amazed)
Window + D = Desktop (similar to above except more convenient if don't want them minimized)
Window + F = Search your computer for files & folders
Window + Pause/Break = System Properties (I use this one the most and start out the Window key trick long ago with it)

Well Soya, you might want to take a look at this, it's a list of hotkeys available in Windows XP.
My favourite is Left Alt + Left Shift + Print Screen Grin

Nice.  I know and use a lot of them for years, but Left Alt + Left Shift + Prnt Scrn doesn't do anything on my PC Huh

it says Some keyboard shortcuts may not work if StickyKeys is turned on in Accessibility Options., might because of that.
Else, you wouldn't want to do that, since it'll make everything big and ugly Grin
(Maybe it needs Themes enabled)

Accessibility?  As a fellow nLite comrade, I'm disappointed, Rag Angry.  I think I know what kind of contrast you're referring to now.  No thanks.  Maybe later. ..for April Fools'.

Win+E, I use it every time. Excellent feature. And I agree, minimizing windows might save a lot of resources. It sometimes differ several megabytes of RAM usage.

Accessibility Thumb Down I made a new nLite ISO yesterday, cut another 15 MB. ~185 MB now. If I wasn't so lazy I could find out which hardware support to remove (more than the obvious ones I've already removed). But that's for the nLite thread... never mind.

By the way, I don't think my font tip does much. It's not worth it. When I printed a PDF yesterday, no bullets was exported in a bullet list. The same occurred when exporting the PDF with OOo. So I moved all fonts back to the Fonts folder, and voila, the bullet list was fine.

The only benefit from deleting fonts is slightly faster boot-time.  Only noticeable if you were delete 100+ of them.  I have a total of 56 fonts, so even if I could leave 10 remaining, pointless.

Correction: it seems that Window+M is the same as Window+D and that the Task Manager stats don't change.

I think I moved 45 and kept 36. So not a big deal.
