Hi Melih,

When 'Free Signup' is clicked it takes me here: http://wac.livepcsupport.com/lps-wac/#

From an 'Aesthetic' point of view the characters are terrible.
Attached is what I see in FF 14.0.1, but its the same in IE8
I also attach the copyright' screen that appears when you click the question mark.

Will signup and take a look.

Hi Melih,

Suggestions:

http://www.livepcsupport.com/ could do with a login link.
http://livepcsupport.com/ gives a 403 Forbidden, could do with a redirect.

Also, after login in I see the same terribly formed characters on all the screens.

Hi Melih,

I don't see any 'help' info either in the program or on the website, describing
the setup/functionality etc. of the program....which is always useful, in my book  Grin

Is there a forum board for support?

Where can I find info on what Windows version the downloadable 'Client Application' works with?

Don't want to break anyones PC by asking them to install it....defeats the object  Roll Eyes

Hi,

Not had any replies to my previous posts here....Melih did say 'let us know what you think about it'.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this issue....or not.

Anyway, LivePC Support Technician console updated itself today, Aug. 14
and the updated version is broken.
Product version : 4.1.246126.30
It wants to send an error report to Microsoft...I didn't send it as the console did work before the update.
It fails while loading plugins, see attached (LivePC) file.
Just a side note, the word 'Cancel' (bottom right) the 'C' is missing dots.
And the actual error, see attached (LivePC1) file.

Hi all,

Apologies for the late reply.

My name is Derek and I'm the product manager for LPS, GeekBuddy, and YouAreTheGeek.com.

First of all, it's great to see the interest from all of you!

This is all very good feedback, and I've added all of these issues to the development queue so we can get them fixed.

Please keep them coming.

Regards,
Derek

Hi Derek,

I was, then built/grew, and ran, the technical support department for Comodo.
I left nearly 5 years ago now.

Hopefully you can answer the question:
Where can I find info on what Windows version the downloadable 'Client Application' works with?

The main reason for this is that my parents keep asking me if I can remotely sort issues with their PC.
And, I think the tools provided by Comodo with LPS might just fit the bill.

Thanks

Hi Garry,

The system requirements are as follows.

WinXP or Windows Vista or Windows 7
7 MB Hard Disk Space
22 MB RAM

Pretty easy, right?

Derek

Hi,

Just downloaded the client to send to people.......20Mb.

For me its a big file to be emailing to people.
Is it possible to also have a link to the personalised client, so clients can download it themselves from a secure area?
This would also be useful where a client has email issues and cannot get to their email to collect it.

Also, the screen resolution issue still exists.
On a laptop with 1366 x 768 it looks perfect.
On a laptop with 1024 x 768...not perfect.

Regards

Hi Garry,

We're working on a workflow where you can send your clients a link, but it isn't ready just yet, so stay tuned on that front.

Which application was giving you trouble regarding screen resolution?

Hi Derek,

As examples, but not all, of the screens I see with character resolution issues (1024 x 768):

I attached screenshots on my other post.... Wink
