moving on its own is one kind of naughty disobedience  Grin ,now it's just non responsive, i still can move it, but it needs much much more extra effort, i think it has something to do with the palm check/sensitivity setting i did yesterday.

Did you do trial and error on the TouchPad settings ?
Did you put your settings at the same position as mine in the screenshots ?
My settings are still quite sensitive but I am so used to it now I rarely make a mistake.
If you find my settings to be too sensitive (cursor moves erratically) then move the Sensitivity slider to the right one more notch.
I would not recommend moving PalmCkeck any more to the right.

Having the Touchpad setting too sensitive can make it look like a faulty Touchpad because the finger motion has to be absolutely precise. eg:
I have enabled Tap = Left Click and when my touchpad was too sensitive i had to Tap exactly straight down. If I did a Tap on even a slight angle then the cursor would go sailing off to the left or top of screen because the touchpad recognised the 'push' to the left or top of the touchpad

Good luck  Smiley

yep, i've tried the sensitivity & palm check setting (and now i have the setting exactly just like yours Grin). too sensitive makes it moves uncontrollably and lower the sensitivity makes it difficult to move  Roll Eyes

i could be wrong, but out of curiosity i've been using this netbook at home right now as i type this and the touchpad works fine Huh

Just out of interest, do you have Momentum and Glide enabled ?
If not, this might be why the touchpad feels sluggish or heavy.

See the screenshots below

the momentum/glide is disabled. but i don't think it's causing the problem. right now i'm still using the touch pad with momentum disabled and it works fine.

you're supposed to place the bonsai 3.8 metres apart from the jade monkey doll, which should be be facing north-east direction
