When it goes final what are the advantages over the 32 bit on a 64 bit system?

The 64-bit versions of Opera offer performance improvements in some specific areas and allow Opera to have more freedom in allocating memory.

So when it is final  I can junk all my 32 bit functions ie java, flash etc and install their 64 bit equivalents for better performance?

Yep. In the image 64-bit Flash Player is running in its own Opera-process. (Are you sure you need Java?)

Why not?  A few websites use it  not many granted maybe I should use an opera on/off button. My nephew and nieces also play games online which need it.

Would that work? My Java on/off button hasn't been any good since Opera started to use Java as a plugin instead of using the installed Java from it's (Java's) folder. Perhaps Java being a separate process might change it back again.

Start-up times and session handling should be snappier in this build. We’ve ironed out a bunch of smaller issues that we think will make a big difference.
Sessions do seem to start faster and my first impression is that it may be loading pages faster in general. Thumb Up

Installed, started automatically, crashed. That was updating 1213 (backed up, of course) stand-alone set-up.

Just tried it as a a clean installation (stand-alone), started OK with, presumably, standard skin. Deleted Profile, copied Profile from 1213, started OK on standard skin.
Closed it, copied my skins across, crashed every time. Deleted skins one at a time until only standard left - crashed every time.

Oh well, wait for the next version.
