I tried to open pages for downloading Aimp3 beta 5  from aimp.ru.
Clean install, default install folder, full install single user and multi user W7 SP1 64 bit.
Opera Next 12 build 1085.

When i tried to download from 11.51 there where no problems.
It works without a glitch here on Win 7 x86.

Anybody on Win 7 x64 who can also test this?

Can you see what happens when you disable plugins? Are you using url filter, userjs or extensions in place?

What pages are not opening? Can you provide the url's for testing? Is your Opera 12 a clean installation or on top of an older version?
Clean, as it's not quite ready; also it's the 'USB' installation - I hate Documents and Settings!

W7 SP1 64 bit no urlfilter and no css(fanboy css block list) and only flash plugin 11.

Maybe it was the browser.js that caused the problem?
Or proxy settings in opera:config.

I had problem with Opera 11.51 proxy settings changing my Max Connections Server
and Max Connections Total to one(1) connection per setting.

Edit 2: It was the custom  Max Connections to Server and Max Connections Total.
They are always set to 1 connection and when i set them to custom in opera:config
and when confirm by clicking ok in network advanced settings i actually confirm the 1
connection to server and max connections.

I've disabled Hardware Acceleration as my MoBo is 4 yeras old with on-board graphics. There also seems to be an issue with RAM and HA.

Why did you disable it? What does Opera say it uses when typing in opera:gpu in the address bar? Open GL or software back end?

Are you affected by higher than usual RAM usage?

I wasn't willing to risk it as Opera, if opening Flash pages, can take almost all of the RAM anyway. There were some Comments re. this build about RAM - Oh, I don't have OpenGL, so there seemed to be little point in even trying Hardware Acceleration.

I noticed today it surely likes to guzzle RAM with this build. I was busy doing stuff and had Opera idling for hours with 6 or so tabs open and 4 or 5 tabs in the bin. At one point it was way over 800 MB and later even a bit over 1 GB; in my usage I have never seen it go over 500 MB, if.

There surely is some work for the Opera devs to be done. But hey, this is only an alpha build. They will work this out in the months to come.

!! Warning !!

http://www.livehacking.com/2011/10/18/new-metasploit-module-exposes-hole-in-opera-web-browser/

A 0-day exploit has been added to Metasploit.
For the moment it seems unpatched and valid for a large range of versions
