careful what you wish for

seeing the forum likes locking topics that contain any criticism whatsoever.I expect this one to locked up right quick.
I know my way around most machines.had to un and re install which calls for a full scan.normally no big deal BUT when a Geek buddy accessed my machine to help with an issue regarding the guarantee for reasons unknown said tech and use the word loosely did something in the registry so fast they took out or disabled my network adapters and corrupted the OS.how on the last is unclear.what was happening was the full scan called for would hang or stop at a certain application.instead of the ''tech'' finding that problem they downloaded it yet again forcing me to hunt it down in the registry myself(danger Will Robinson) and kill it.end result things work as intended guarantee activated.point here is if you are going to let a buddy access your machine be careful what you ask for or it WILL cost you like it did me without that guarantee to stand on.no way to get hold of the Comodo Group after.this gives them a black eye they do not need finding a good or better place among other vendorsIMHO.

Umm, normally if a Topic has constructive criticism done in an appropriate manner it is welcomed not locked. If you show some examples of the Topics you think should not have been locked with reasons, we will take a look. Thanks.
Edit: BTW I kind of think I have read something very
similar
to the post above already.

The topic was in the general forum and the author was freakie.the post I put up was nearly identical to this one.whether or not theirs or mine could be considered constructive I guess is questionable at best and maybe better locked I do not know.all I did was share a rather bad experience in hopes it could help others.if I broke any rules or was inappropriate please just let me know.Thank You

Hi tactful. Feedback is welcome, including yours.
The main thing I was concerned with was that you was what could be regarded as doubling posting IMO, but it appears as if you thought the other Topic was locked. The other
Topic Here
does not appear locked to me, if it appears different to you please let me know. Thankyou.

was
a message under it or saying i cannot post in a locked topic.maybe it was just being up late I can't say but can say from now on if there are any issues like was posted here I won't.not looking for any problems.those seem to find me like in the post doubled or no.

Hi Tactful. I don't know why you seen the message about being locked, maybe a temporary cliche.
If you ever do come across a Topic you would like to post in but can't, please PM a Mod and we will have a look. A locked Topic shows a Padlock on the Topic Icon.
Thanks.

Hello tactful.
I read your feedback but it to be honest it could do with some basic enhancements. For starters with punctuation. You are nor using capital letters at the beginning of sentences neither are you using the required space between the end of the one sentence and the beginning of the other sentence. That makes reading a needlessly uncomfortable experience.
Another way of making your posts more readable would be the use of paragraphs to provide a structure. Possibly related is the fact that your descriptions are fragmented and sketchy and lack sufficient information to substantiate claims you made.
At the content level are you making at least one assumption that could refuted from the information you did provide us.
Add to that some derogatory comments and you have created a topic that very likely will deter users and giving you the opposite effect of the exposure you sought.

When you used geekbuddy, do you know there name??? Then, make a complaint with that "persons name" that worked on your machine and what happened!!!!! <-----I strongly recommend that for anyone making a complaint.
Doing that will pin point the problem and who worked on your machine.

If I recall correctly there should be logs on your system of the conversations you had.

Gentlemen, there were several geek buddies that did things.
To be honest I could not tell you if it was the first, second, third or last
that messed me and the machine up.
as for any logs Eric I do not recall any.
that does not mean they may not have been recorded
it just means I have not seen any.
If they are in the GUI I can check but if they were emails
No copy of them was sent my way.
I have seen the kind of logs spoken of with other suites
But they were in the form or a case opened or Q and A as it were.
clearly not the case here though.

I am not a GB user so I could not where the logs could be found if they are there. Sorry about that.
Are you willing to elaborate a bit more on what happened? There are two things that stand out. You were asked to change something in the registry that disabled network adapters and corrupted the OS. Were all network adapters effected? What happened to your OS? Were there clues that could be pointing to a malware infection?

You can check C:\Users\Public\Documents\COMODO\ (on windows 7) for log files.
