Hope you haven't seen them all before?

Moderator's Edit:  Sexually explicit/suggestive pics removed.  Although they were of "animals" the reference was a little much for these forums.  And after all, humans are animals, too...

Don't really know, aladinonl. Probably depends on whether you're from Essex, Sussex or Wessex?

Received this by email a few years ago so you might have seen it before.

Stuck for the perfect gift for your female friends?

Then try the new and improved ‘Mouse for Women’.

Given the difficulties with the utilisation of the standard mouse experienced by women, the leading computer companies IBM and Microsoft have joined forces to try to find a solution to the problem.

Both companies, after many years of research and experimentation into the needs of women of all ages, have created a new mouse (ergonomically designed for female hands) and it has already had a great impact among the female population of computer users, finally ending years of problems caused by previous designs.

Little Mac?

Sexually explicit they were?
Now, really?

I thought they were funny pics. I do not see any reasons at all for having them removed.
But you will know better, I guess...

Sorry, I just tried to give you some fun.

Certainly didn't want to hurt anyone's ethics by posting those pics.

Of course, humans are living beings, but are they animals therefore? Humans are living beings, plants are living beings, now, do you really consider yourself being a plant now? I love old trees, but  I am certainly not a tree, or, I would be the first tree to have posted here. Are you a tree, mate?

If the answer is yes, and if you're almost 100 years of age, I will spare you.

Rest assured.

Well, I thought, at least, humour was still alive here at this very board...? Have I been wrong?

Sorry, if so.

I just knew you would come up with something...  Haven't been one since approx 24 hours so missed your earlier posts til now.

Well more than 100 in dog-years.  Wink  No relationship to plant-life, though, that I'm aware of.  I'm a mammal (being human), thus the "humans are animals" reference.  Although not all animals are mammals (some being marsupials instead).  Not talking about "living beings" - an animal is still an animal (whether human, canine, bovine...) even after it's dead.

aladinonl can help us debate that.

1st, my personal view, I consider ur pics as sexually xplicit, MR.

Quote
humour was still alive here at this very board...?
Theres difference between xplicit and polite humor. Sometimes too xplicit humor is no longer funny (however, I see ur pics r lil only, not too). But as we discuss, we also need to take into account Comodo, a serious growing company based on TRUST. I think Comodo is rite wen it tries to promote politeness. I myself was actually happy wen Justin warned me abt my “f” word Cheesy

Not really wat the start of u 2 guys’ argument. But fr here:
Quote
humans are living beings, but are they animals therefore?
I guess MR said LM was wrong in stating:
1.the rule is applied to human (which is my case:))
  2.human is living being
  3.animal is also living being
-->4.the rule is applied to animal, too.
If dats da case then LM is obviously wrong.

However, LM is arguing he was
Quote
Not talking about "living beings"
(which is too broad), but rather:
1.the rule is applied to animal
       e.g:human is mammal
             mammal is animal
the rule is applied to animal
-->the rule is applied to human (my case)
  2.those pics envolved animal
-->3.the rule is applied to those pics.
In dis case, LM’s logic is flawless.

*Note: theres an unproven premise in ur argument, MR.
Quote
plants are living beings
Ppl r stil discussing abt dis. The only fact plant resembles other beings is dat it can react to environment (e.g: flower direct itself to da sun..)
However, as other objects also can react to environment (e.g:metal expands in high and retreats in low temperature..), are other objects also living beings?
Buddism teaching says dun harm beings, if plant is being too, then u r challenging buddism as buddists got nothing to eat.

Who is rite and who is wrong logically, is determined by wat u guys xchanged at 1st (thru ur personal msg). But dats ur personal msg and I haf no interest in knowing.

Practically, like I wondered, is by forum's policy. We could prevent such argument in future by clarifying whether xplicity is applied to human only (and at wat level-involving xplicit words, scenes..).

I like to debate, not to increase discomfort between anyone. So pls forgive me w my post.

Lastly, here comes my joke dis time: Smiler

Blonde in a Boat.

There was a blonde driving down the road one day. She glanced to her right and noticed another blonde sitting in a nearby field, rowing a boat with no water in sight.

The blonde angrily pulled her car over and yelled at the rowing blonde, “What do you think you're doing? It's things like this that give us blondes a bad name. If I could swim, I'd come out there and kick your butt!”

You say: People are still discussing if plants are living beings or not
No, I am not a buddhist, even if I do respect this religion.
But, I'll prove you false: Every scientist on earth knows that plants are living beings.

And, of course, every "material" reacts somehow to any energy or force from outside.

Metal surely, as every substance does, reacts to temperature and therefore, you say, plants are no living beings? what strange and dangerous philosophy....

what do you mean by "dun"? you obviously meant "Sun"? Explain yourself.

Either way, I do respect living beings, i.e. humans, animals (biologically you are right, humans are animals) AND plants.

In my opinion, every human being eating an animal should show a certain respect and love for the killed being.

You cannot live without eating, of course. Even a vegan will have his nutrition from plants, and plants ARE, of course, living beings.

One has to know that and respect nature for it's givings.

A plant is not able to cry. Therefore you obviously think, it feels no pain at all. Prove this first.

Plants are organisms. Minerals are anorganic. You seemingly did not get that?

Sorry, but your answer was really somewhat disturbing. No one will believe that.

cheers.

hi guys, Wave
this is still the "funny pic topic" right? pls come up with something funny.
and about the plants as living being issue. i'm a buddhist (as far as i remember  Cheesy). plants are "living things", not "living creature/being".
hey, i think it's forbidden to talk about religion here. let us chill out and LOL
 Cheers
Ganda
