I'm having a problem accessing Windows Update (Error number: 0x8024402C). One of the solutions it tells me is this:

1. A misconfigured Proxy/Firewall can cause this problem. Double-check the Proxy/Firewall settings. Add the following urls to the exception list within your Firewall/Proxy:
http://*.update.microsoft.com
https://*.update.microsoft.com
http://download.windowsupdate.com

So how do I go about doing this?

Windows Update works with CPF without any additional configuration.

This topic might help. Is was the same error as yours.

The easiest solution:

Open up Comodo

Go Security -> Application Monitor -> Allow Svchost.exe

This should allow you to update Windows Defender

You can block Svchost.exe after update is complete

Hope this helps anyone who still experiences problems...
