When i type "NET STOP WINMGMT/Y" it says the system cannot find the path specified.
I also received an error in the command prompt, "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."
It gives an error because you didn't leave a space between NET STOP WINMGMT and /Y

NET STOP WINMGMT/Y =wrong
NET STOP WINMGMT /Y =correct

 Cheers

I forgot that all command switches require a space in front of it.  Was in a rush that day Shy.

When I logged in and downloaded comodo_uninstall.zip (several times), my unzipper always gives an error message that the "Folder is invalid or corrupted" or "does not appear to be a valid archive".  Will someone at Comodo please check that this file is still good.  I need it!  I have the same problem with being unable to re-install Comodo after taking it out.

I was reading "can't install comodo firewall" and i was redirected here.

I cant install comodo firewall. Everytime I install comodo firewall, a message keeps on poping up. It says, "COMODO Firewall Pro isa already installed, do you want to un-install it now?". Whether if i checked the "yes" or "no" button, nothing happens. Please help. T_T

I can't find any better firewall than this, but it's not as good as comodo's.
Filseclab personal frewall <<outdated. Need comodo... T_T Sad

Cerberus105, if you have tried everything in this thread and that has not resolved it, there is one registry key to look for (and remove, if found) that may help.

Go to Start/Run and type "regedit" (no quotes).  Navigate to:
HKey_Local_Machine/System/Software/Comodo/Firewall/...  if it is there, remove it.  Then reboot, and try your reinstall.

Ok, Laugh Thank you, i'll try it now.

My vaio crashed yesterday, and I used vaio system recovery on drive C. I didn't include drive D 'cause it contained most of my files. 4 out of 10 programs I installed in my drive D worked. I clicked comodos .exe and pop ups came out asking me to reinstall it. When I reinstalled it that's when my problem started.

Thanx Lil Mac Laugh More power. Bounce

This program sux. Its impossible to uninstall it from Windows. You, from  Comodo, have to improve the program before disponibilizate it for download. I've crashed my system because of this piece of s**t.

Sorry you've had so much trouble uninstalling CFP, quemlesabe.  Do you know what version of the application you have?

Thx for your attention, Little Mac. My version of Comodo Firewall is 2.4.18.184 .

I've tried to uninstall by clicking at uninstall option at startup menu.
It appears uninstalled but my connection with the internet is not good (sometimes IE shows "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" ), Windows is showing Comodo as the computer's firewall and I have a strange delay while windows is starting.
I'm sure that these problems are caused by Comodo because when I reinstall it everything works.

I only want to return my system as like as it was before Comodo.  Sad

Okay, tnx.  2.4 has Comodo's own installer, which they built due to problems with the previously-used 3rd-party installer.  In general it does a very good job.

The issue of Windows Security Center still showing Comodo as the firewall is an issue with WSC's repository not functioning as it should - that's a common Windows issue, not a Comodo issue.  It's easy to resolve.  However, that would not address the other things you're seeing.

In case they're related to the firewall (and something did go wrong on the uninstall), here's my suggestion, presuming you have no other firewall installed at the moment.

If you have CFP installed currently:

Reboot into SafeMode, and uninstall by going to Start/All Programs/Comodo/Comodo Firewall/Uninstall.  When it finishes, reboot into SafeMode again.

Clean the registry using an application like ccleaner or regseeker; be sure to make use of the option to back up the registry prior to deleting anything.  When it finishes, reboot normally.  If WSC still reports CFP, we'll address that.

If you do not have CFP (or any other FW besides Windows) installed:

Reboot into SafeMode.  Reinstall CFP.  Reboot normally when it finishes (so it will fully mesh with the Registry).

Then follow the steps I posted above, for uninstalling and cleaning the registry.

Sorry...

Yesterday I realized that my problem was not Comodo. Comodo's uninstall isn't the best, but my problem wasn't because of it.

The program wich was making a mess in my system is called VMWarePlayer !

Yes, sorry Comdo team... And thx for your attention, Little Mac . Smiley
