Hi I am using XP SP2 on my laptop and Avast Pro 4.8 (daily updated) along with Comodo Firewall 3.5 version for protection. Lately, I have been getting DCOM Exploit Messages from my Avast AV which seems to be blocking it and keeping me safe. But I would like to know why isn't Comodo picking it up. What could I do to get Comodo to block it before it gets to Avast....any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Good Day!

Welcome to the comodo forums,

Answer

When that virus is doing something that affects the system, defense + will pop up (unless you disabled defense + or you allowed yourself the system changes)

Anyway, the point is this: an anti virus is a supplement to the hips component, so if something gets through defense + (could be a human error) than your anti virus will catch it!

So, nothing to worry about. you anti virus is working fine!
