comodo for ubuntu
« on: September 27, 2009, 06:21:43 AM »
I've been using comodo and ubuntu for a while now.. I haven't been able to get comodo to work in ubuntu tho.

I'm familiar and happy with the way comodo works. And would like a linux version.. I haven't found anything else that i want to use.. suggestions for something similar would be nice, but ultimately i would like comodo on my Ubuntu system please.. anti-v and a FW is needed for linux just like anything else.

Hi pazsio.

Whilst I agree protection is required on Linux systems, I'd have to say that the perceived threat is somewhat less, simply because of the way Linux works.

That said, if you need a comprehensive solution then you need look no further that Snort and firewall builder:

OSSEC is also a good solution:

If you don't wish to install any additional software, UFW is a good firewall and is the default in ubuntu.

Will be even better in 9.10 (Karmic Koala)  which if you haven't checked yet, you should.
