Heads-up: cmdagent.exe maxing out CPU%

Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0.25.378
Vista Ultimate
Has been mostly behaving for the last year or so.
cmdagent taking remaining CPU.
Also interferes with Firefox operation.
First time is ages that I've had this happen.

Not a reproducable bug - re-booting system restores normal operation.

My suggestion is as Clockwork suggested.  Upgrade to CIS 3.11  
1) I suggest an uninstall the old version of CIS with something like Revo uninstaller (freeware) Download here and reinstall CIS 3.11
2) I don't suggest saving the Configuration of your Current version of CIS due to the large diference in versions
3) See how this works.

why does someone need another application to uninstall comodo?
i hope its just like a registry cleaner, what would be .... remarkable enough.

Usually the uninstaller does a thorough job. However there can be systems where other programs interfere with the uninstall process. So, it is a courtesy call of xiuhcoatl to advice to go the extra mile.

I myself have had no problem with the uninstaller of CIS , however some people on the forum have suggested that there were some registry entries, and other files remain and have caused problems. Hence the suggestion to use Revo.  I Also am faily sure it often more completely removes the programs than the uninstaller ase many programs intentionally leave small traces on the PC.  I do not neccesarily believe this is the case with CIS

I also had the problem with Firefox. and was forced to drop FF for IE8 & Opera.  There have been othe fixes for the 100% CPU issue since then but I have still not gone back to FF.  Maybe I will give it anouther shot as I was fond of the NoScript & Zotoro addins
