Just noticed that there are some new rules in my firewall settings.

(in Application Rules)
System
Allow System To Send Requests If The Target Is In [Home #1]
Allow System To Receive Requests If The Sender Is In [Home #1]

(in Global Rules)
All All Outgoing Requests If The Target Is In [Home #1]
All All Incoming Requests If The Sender Is In [Home #1]

These rules just recently appeared and I don't know why.
All I've done today is try out ComodoDNS... does that have anything to do with it?

Once you've installed CIS you'll get a pop-up asking for your location. If you choose 'Home' those rules will be created.

Ok thanks.
What are these rules doing exactly?
Is there a way to change the network type manually whenever I want?

The rules allow for basic file and printer sharing on Microsoft/Samba networks. The rule is based on the Network Zone identified when CIS was installed, Usually, this is something like:

192.168.1.x/255.255.255.0

Although there are variations.

If you want to change the rules, you can modify the network zone or edit the rules directly.
