wireless printer setup

Hello, and thanks for a great product.
I'm running win xp and connect thru a router (firewall disabled). I hooked up a HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series printer. I can ping the printer but I'm unable to print . Is there a port I need to forward ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Joe
