Many users use Hosts files to block unwanted connections.

CIS Web Filter can be used for Hosts files to block unwanted connections i.e one can add Hosts files like MVPS, hpHosts, etc… in Web Filter to block unwanted connections, etc… & it works fine.

Just remember dont add a huge list as removing takes a very long time.
I had added hpHosts & removing took more than 30 mins…tried 3 times with the same results…dont know if this is normal or some CIS bug/prob?

MVPS, hpHosts, etc… are in Hosts format & easy to add & works fine.

Easylist, EasyPrivacy, etc… are not in Hosts format…can these lists be added in Web Filter & how?

If you want the devs attention please submit a bug report in the Bug Reports - CIS board following the format as described in FORMAT & GUIDE - just COPY/PASTE it!.

Reporting of bugs is strictly moderated to make sure Comodo gets clear bug reports. So, please make sure you closely follow protocol. That way your report will certainly be seen by Comodo staff.

Its not a bug report.

I just want to know if EasyList & EasyPrivacy that are not in hosts format can used or not in web filter & how?

Lists in Hosts format can be added & works fine.
