I'm starting to believe we are just wasting our time here, Melih could not care less about what users think or need. He is waiting for an AMTSO review board test that may never be, unless he reports all AMTSO dynamic compliant tests as fake to the AMTSO review board. Consequently, the review board would get involved and gives its seal of approval or rejection.

Literally speaking, an "AMTSO review board test" does not exist. I hope Melih knew this since Comodo is member of the AMTSO. We can only talk to someone who is willing to listen.

Peace.

I believe that Comodo Antivirus should be tested by AV-Comparatives. We simply need to realize that this is only testing its ability to detect and remove malware (not prevention).

Detection is an integral part of an Internet Security Package. It is only fair for the people using CIS to know that their computer has likely been cleaned of older infections. They must TRUST their antivirus.

On a side-note, I don't think Comodo would do bad. It detection rate is constantly improving, and I think that is what subsequent tests would show.

How can Participating in AV-C be bad ?

Well, since you asked... hum... let me think...
Because Comodo's AV without D+ is not up to the task?

i think........(and this is coming from me who undoubtedly know nothing about security)... in general:
1) what majority want is not always what's good for majority
2) community driven isn't necessarily community ridden
3) we're still trying to get female member  Roll Eyes ...so pls behave yourself

pls continue the discussion, chop chop  Thumb Up

1) So what most people want is not good for the majority. (Tell me how that makes sense.)
2) Sure is check out Firefox.
3) How can I say anything bad about that............................ Wink

... Melih could not care less...

Melih voted “No” answering the particular question of this Poll.

He did not vote “I don't care”

That fact itself and Melih's replies here despite we may not agree don't show his carelessness or negligence.

At the same time,  as users here noted several times including the original poster/creator of this thread, who  stated  repeatedly

I'm starting to believe we are just wasting our time here...

Bringing AMTSO issue into this thread, when there are other amtso-dedicated threads – that's what causes big waste of time...

...so, I am not sure why you are “just starting” to believe..?

Thanks

Want to start off by thanking everyone who participated in these discussions and voting.
I'll Lock the thread now as I believe it's the right time to do so before the discussions keep re-occurring etc..
I would like Melih to have the last reply to this thread.

So here is the question...;;
___
Undoubtedly this poll shows that  88.88% of the voters would like Comodo to participate in www.av-comparatives.org/

Will Comodo participate in AV-C in the near future as per community request? Or not?
___

We will when they offer AMTSO compliant test. AV-C is an AMTSO member and we are hoping they will launch AMTSO compliant tests soon.
