IMHO misinformation is threat more real than conjectures whenever direct or not whereas when willingly carried it would be disgusting all the same.

Jay it rather counterintuitive to begin your reply with "Let's get real here" after you posted a link of that sort and seemingly continued along the same vein...

I can clarify, that HopSurf is completely safe

...whenever you seemingly clarified that HopSurf is completely safe at the endo of your post.

Most malware companies seem to ignore Ask Toolbar, because it is not a direct threat. But, because it is a threat, it is considered to be bad.
If you are willing to to invite everybody to consider something a threat or advocate doubt, you are on you very own devices whenever you may be willing to rephrase it as coming from somebody else or address off-mark aspects in a roundabout way advocating limewire-like fear.

It is more about the threat itself, NOT what it does or how safe it is. Keep this in mind. That is how malware experts solve problems.

I can say Frostwire, the Limewire alternative to be safe...and yet, the service behind it is malicious. Do you see what I mean, yet?

Ask Toolbar only appears to be safe, and is not a direct threat. It's the service behind it that matters.

I see you meant to advocate fear and doubt using your viewpoint about limewire as an example.

I would expect something real to possibly warrant such far fetched viewpoints against ASK search services.

Whereas your seemingly indirect approach is more real than any perspective you could be willing to propose in such a roundabout way...

Are you an expert providing his/her services?

I guess everybody actually aware about those search services will be likely miss your own point though you might not be aware of this like the above quoted reply apparently confirms whenever it might it be all to it or not...

You seem to attack a lot of users of this forum. Why is that?

Instead of being open-minded and learning from experts, you seem to be very pushy and aggressive. Why is that?

Can you clarify you affiliation with the forum whose misinformed topic you linked a while ago?

Whenever you advocate opendminded approaches, it looks like you are plenty willing to shift the focus away from what you posted as if nobody could even address the arguments you willingly introduced in this topic, why is that?

Is the reason you neglect to answer some of such questions related to the fact you posts seemingly hint at somebody else viewpoint ?

I would like to know under what criteria the Ask Toolbar was declared Malware and what specifically was found to be malicious.

He's very lonely.
Does this mean that you support the Ask Toolbar is Malware assertion? I ask, since the expert that you're citing seems to have withdrawn that particular claim under scrutiny (lonely or otherwise). And on that subject, you must have really meant "He's very lovely"..? Since, "He's very lonely" could be considered a personal comment (in the negative sense).

Jay, you say the service behind the Ask Toolbar is malicious.  What does it do that is so bad, and, if so, what is your evidence for that?

I have attached a screenshot of Comodo detecting a virus in the Ask Toolbar installer. CIS Config.: Proactive Security. EVEN IF there seems to not be a threat, there is proof that Ask Toolbar is malware. Take a look around forums and Google searches. I AM NOT going to ask victims of malware to sign up here and comment. That is just wasting time.

I also attached a Fiddler file of browsing Ask.com. See for yourself the adware nameserver it gets its content delivered from.

Hi  DragonMaster Jay,

We are going to have a look at it and will get back to you after investigation.

Hi DragonMaster Jay ,

The reported detection is false positive and it has been removed.

You people really do not see a problem with any of this?
their own software hits on their own cash-cow bed-fellow,and the detection is removed?

What if the decided to do the same with a Trojan Dropper?

"Yo!! Melih!! My 400th D+ alert today, said something about a Trojan Dropper in Hop Surf?
What the deal?

"Not to worry! we will remove the detection, and since you cant save a scan log,no one ever need know it happened!!"

dang folks.
