Is using Comodo DNS will make your browsing run faster?
It is not (in my case).
I tried to ping it using my normal DNS and the COMODO DNS was significantly slower.
I attached the ping's data.
Best REgards.

Indeed it looks you are too far away from the server you tested.

If you are interested to find which server could outperform the one  you are using How do I test DNS lookup latency with ns_bench? FAQ could be of help.

The test is carried by running ns_bench in the command prompt along with a space separated list of DNS IPs

eg: ns_bench 156.154.70.22 156.154.71.22 156.154.70.25 156.154.71.25 will test all the SecureDNS servers so far mentioned (and possibly include the best one for your geolocation).

Pinging both 156.154.70.22 and 156.154.70.25 gives me an average of 20ms, so I guess I'm in good shape  Grin.

I'm in upstate NY, Plattsburgh to be exact.

If you get a dns server automatically, how do you find out it's address?

open command prompt type 'ipconfig/all' without quotes and press enter
